Famous Grouse 12 yr. old … 40%

colour: deep amber.
nose: malty, fruity, oak, some sherry, honey, light toffee, vanilla, some sweetness, nice balance, attractive.
palate/mouth feel: thick/coating, some sweetness, a little oak, a bit subdued until the finish.
finish: malty, fruits-apple/pear/plum, toffee, oak, honey, vanilla, decent tongue buzz, well integrated, good balance, medium finish.

notes: lovely, good flavours, good balance, this is quite a nice everyday whisky and for the price ($42 Can.) it gets a thumbs up. A good malty whisky, a bit different than the FG blend, not quite as sweet, more malt.
I’ll have to pick up another bottle as it’s limited where I am and as mentioned, for the price it’s quite nice.
