Aberlour a’bunadh
batch 18

colour: burnt amber
nose: concentrated rich fruits- sultanas/plum/cherries, big sherry, figs, vanilla, oak, on a bed of malt.
palate/mouth feel: coating, thick, sweet rich fruits, spice, oak.
finish: wow, very concentrated fruit, creamy, warming, complex with good balance, nice spice, vanilla, oak, figs, long finish.

notes: wow again! what a dram, this has got rich concentrated fruit to spare, it’s a powerhouse of a malt. Creamy with good spice, really long finish. Quite easy to drink on it’s own with no water. Thumbs up for sure, a great malt and one to try if you like sherry/rich fruits.

btw: water softens the whole experience, good to try with both, though it’s better without in my opin. have water afterwards or between sips, enjoy the power.
