Johnnie Walker Red … 40%
Colour: rusted honey.
Nose: fruit, caramel, light background smoke, grain, touch of malt, a little peat, some oak/vanilla, quite well integrated, not too big but attractive.
Palate/mouth feel: sweetness, grain, some spice.
Finish: caramel, fruit sweetness, grain, oak, some vanilla, vague hints of peat/smoke, med. finish, light tongue buzz.

Notes: not bad, a lot of caramel but it’s interesting enough for a cheap blend. Not the throat ripper I was anticipating. Has the ‘grain grip’ on the tongue. This whisky is drinkable and for the price, it’s not bad. I like it better than some other blends I’ve had. The Walking Man strikes again! Wouldn’t bother me drinking this whisky again, not great but not bad.
(I think i prefer it without water, must try some ice soon).
