Whyte & Mackay blend 40%
Colour: dark amber/honey.
Nose: rich red fruit, grain, malt, caramel, very small hint of smoke, light but attractive.
Palate/mouth feel: thick, sweet, grain edge.
Finish: dark fruit, grain, maple syrup, touch of malt, quite sweet, burnt caramel, decent tongue buzz, short-medium finish.

Notes: decent flavour, a bit too sweet but for the price ($23 Can.) it’s not bad at all. The burnt caramel isn’t very plesant but overall it’s a decent blend. It gets a plus for the price/quality ratio. JWB is better but much more expensive, I’d not turn this scotch down if offered to me. Glad I tried it and in a pinch, it’ll be a decent scotch to drink.
