Macallan 10 yr. old Fine Oak
40%

colour: gentle amber.
nose: sweet sherry/fruit basket- peach, grape, apple, floral, good oak background, malt, some complexity, attractive.
palate: sweet, coating, good mouth buzz.
finish: good fruit basket/sherry impact, some sweetness, oak is quite big, medium finish, slight sulphur-like after-taste.

notes: good nose, oak is a bit too big for the gentle nature of this whisky, slight sulphur-like after-taste.
I’m being picky, it’s a decent whisky for the price($55 here in BC).
I much prefer the regular Macallan sherry line, Fine Oak is worth a try though.
